From the first dance to the last song.

A wedding DJ should sound like your wedding. You send the must-plays and the do-not-plays, on Gold and Platinum we meet in person to go through the day, and I handle the announcements so nobody's left wondering when the speeches start.

One room. Two sounds. Everyone dances.

A Double Theme Night pairs two sounds so every age in the room gets its turn. Pick one of these or name your own.

The BeatlesvOasis

The guitar anthem battle.

GreasevDirty Dancing

Two film soundtracks, one dance floor.

ReggaevR&B

Built for mixed ages.

1980sv1990s

Two decades of floor-fillers, one night.

Also: decade nights from the 60s to the 2000s, a single year (1986, 1990, you name it), an Elvis night, or any theme you can dream up. Selected themes can be played entirely on vinyl.

How a booking works

  1. 01

    Check your date

Tell us the night, the venue and roughly how many. You'll get a straight answer on the date and the price.

  2. 02

    Talk it through

Must-plays, do-not-plays, the first dance, the timings. Gold and Platinum weddings get a face-to-face chat. Send your playlist at least a week before.

  3. 03

    The night

Announcements handled, requests taken, and a DJ reading the room rather than running a playlist.

  4. 04

    Settle up on the night

A retainer holds the date. The balance is paid once everything's set up, in cash unless we've agreed otherwise.

A packed dance floor under pink and blue lights
A vinyl DJ setup: two turntables, a mixer and a crate of records
Spare kit for emergencies

Always included

  • Sound sized to your room
  • Dance-floor lighting
  • Playlist planning
  • Insurance and PAT certificates for your venue

He talks to you first. He plays what you asked for. The floor stays full.

Simon Aston · DJ Sime

I've been doing this since Valentine's Day 1992.

My first gig was an all-vinyl night at Kippax Clubhouse. Over 30 years later I still bring the records, alongside the Pioneer and Denon kit. In 2005 I started taking on more nights than one DJ can play, so now there are three of us, and we match the DJ to the night.

Booking and paying

How do I hold my date?

A retainer secures it. Check your date first and Simon will tell you if it's free and what it costs.

What if I need to cancel or move the date?

Cancel with more than 14 days' notice and your retainer becomes a credit note for a future booking. Date changes with 14 days or more notice depend on the calendar.

When do I pay the rest?

At the start of the night, once everything is set up. Cash, unless we've agreed something else in writing.

My date shows as booked. Is that it?

Not always. Ring or WhatsApp 07368 595711. Late changes happen, and there's a team of three.

On the night

Will you play our requests?

Yes. Send your must-plays and your do-not-plays at least 7 days before, by streaming link, text or email. On the night we still take requests.

Can you do the announcements?

Yes. Speeches, first dance, cake, last orders. Clear and on time, without talking over the party.

Our guests are aged 8 to 85. Will they all dance?

That's the job. It's why Double Theme Nights exist, and why one reviewer's 85-year-old mum got up for 'Maggie May'.

Can we go past the finish time?

Extra time is agreed on the night. Paying digitally on the night carries a £10 admin fee.

Venues and paperwork

Are you insured?

Simon carries £5 million public liability insurance, his equipment is PAT tested every year, and he's DBS checked. Certificates, a risk assessment and licence details are available for your venue.

How much space and power do you need?

A level space of at least 6ft by 4ft, and two 13-amp sockets within 10 feet. Loading access confirmed 48 hours before.

Our venue has a sound limiter.

Tell us the level when you book.

Got a date in mind?

Tell us the night and the venue. You'll hear back about the date and the price.

Date looks taken? Ring anyway.
